Please be my new favorite show, Grimm.

It’s that time of year again, lovelies.  The very special time when all of the networks buy a bunch of pilots, and some of them sound really great, and I get my hopes WAY UP, and then most of them I never hear about again, and a handful I do, and then they BREAK MY HEART.  I’m talking to you AGAIN, Undercovers.  You are my Fredo.  (That’s a little Godfather humor for you.)

This season, NBC’s ordered a pilot called Grimm, and I can already tell I’m going to be crying over it someday, for one reason or another.  According to EW, it’s a “dark but fantastical cop drama about a world in which characters inspired by Grimm’s Fairy Tales exist.”  Not only does that sound awesome all on its own, but the creative team behind it includes Jim Kouf (Angel) and David Greenwalt (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), so I’m gonna go ahead and put all of my eggs in Grimm‘s basket.  Oh yes.

I know what you’re thinking.

It probably won’t even get picked up.  And if it is, it’ll be a disappointment.  Or worse, it’ll be the best new show on television that no one watches for about 9 episodes.  You know what, I don’t even care.  I’m very very excited.  This is going to be the best pilot season ever!  Right?

Right?

So can we look forward to more posts worrying over specific pilots? Cause that Wonder Woman show is giving me the shakes already. I’m more optimistic about Ronald Moore’s 17th Precinct though.

You can definitely look forward to more posts about specific pilots. I love pilot season!! So much possibility, and no one’s had a chance to let me down yet. I’ve been avoiding reading anything about Wonder Woman because I’m going to get very worked up about that, but 17th Precinct looks promising. I think 17th Precinct and Grimm can’t both make it, though. Just a hunch.

Glad you’re picking this up again. Alas, since I’m still cable-less (and everyone keeps saying “you don’t have to have cable, don’t yous till get the basic channels?! No. I have no digital converter box, and my TV was never even antennae in the first place.) Sorry.. anyways I haven’t been seeing anything yet, but Grimm sounds fantastic. But I did see the Mr. Sunshine pilot online which I’m SUPER pumped about… Ps. happy birthday :)

I don’t have cable either, I just watch everything online. Grimm does sound pretty great, huh? There’s another show called Precinct 17 that sounds kinda similar, and that might also be cool. I haven’t seen Mr. Sunshine yet, should I watch it? I’ve been hearing pretty good things about it. Might watch that, and I need to watch The Chicago Code. Thanks for the happy birthday!! <3

It sounds like X-files meets Law and Order! I don’t see why that couldn’t work. However that Brothers Grimm movie with Matt Damon didn’t do too well.
